Recent changes to the Google search platform has made it more important than ever to have a SSL (Secure Socket Layer) Certificate. This summer Google started requiring websites to have a SSL certificate. This is an effort to combat cybercrimes worldwide. Websites that remain on the HTTP non-secure protocol will be flagged with a warning in the URL bar of a browser. The non-secure flag will be built into the release of Chrome 68, which will be ready is for download. These changes could greatly impact how Google ranks your website against competitors. Google still ranks as the most used search engine globally taking over *68 percent of all searches.
Establishing your website to meet Google’s new SSL certificate requires a few steps. NMY will be happy to assist in helping your company comply with Google recent change.
