Social media is such an important tool. People now build their entire social, consumer, and professional lives around these networks. It seems like everyone is tweeting, posting, liking & blogging… and smart marketers have picked up on this fact. It may appear a daunting task for a small businesses to enter the fray, but fear not! Make your business a “trending topic” with help from the web-savvy gang at NMY. Websites today can be a place where all social media converge. There are new tools that allow a user to update several social sites at once, letting one message generate in many different places. Why is this important? – Because some people who follow you on twitter may not be on Facebook all the time. And those who read your blog may not have a twitter account. And some people may look at your flickr feed as a way of seeing  your blog updates. - NMY can make your website a tool to reach all of these people, and help your website work for you as a way of keeping people interested in your business, product or service. Another Addy Year

Thursday, February 2nd, 2012

At NMY we’ve been gearing up for the annual American Advertising Federation’s ADDY Awards! Over the past 30 years, we’ve been honored with lots of Gold ADDY’s in our local competition, regional awards, and in the national competition too. This is the result of combining our years of experience with a love for what we do, and applying it to every single project – big or small. The ADDY competition presents a wonderful opportunity to show the creative work we’ve done for our clients, but we’re also excited to see the work other local agencies are producing. Now that another ADDY year is finally here, we’re getting ready to add a few more awards to our walls of fame. We wish all the other contestants “good luck” and hope to see some great local designs come out of this year’s event.

NMY Says…

Tuesday, January 10th, 2012

In 2012, we want to emphasize giving back to our community and our planet. With so many good things coming to us and our business, and more to come this year, giving back is a top priority. One of the ways that can be done is by having less waste and more creative ways to reuse the things that still have value. Less waste ultimately means less cost, and less cost means more ability to give. Not only to those in need but to our clients as well.

We wish you all the best of New Years. We believe that 2012 is a year of great things to come. For our business as well as yours!

Giving Back

Thursday, December 22nd, 2011

We are so fortunate. Not only as Americans but also as a design and advertising firm. We get to come to work and do what we love everyday. The holiday season is a reason to give back to those who do not have what we do in this world. It’s a way of thanking God for the fortunate path he has put us on and making sure that all of His are taken care of. Because although giving is a year long task set upon us, Christmas gives us a chance to make it a focus and supplies many outlets in which to do so. These bags were given to the Salvation Army through a food and toy drive hosted by Ryan Auto Group. Instead of offering our clients more of what they already have, they were all given a small gift and this was given in their honor to those who have so little. So, thank you all for being so willing to give with us.

Holiday Smiles

Wednesday, December 21st, 2011

We pulled out all of our most festive and tacky Christmas attire for this fabulous photograph. With nothing else to do but laugh at ourselves and with each other, we came together and went over the top to catch a moment bursting at the seams with holiday cheer. Whether that is a good thing or a bad thing…we’ll let you decide. Either way, we hope you enjoy our quirky interpretation of the Holidays and hope you’re having a wonderful Christmas season.

Our Friend Adam Ballard

Tuesday, November 29th, 2011

Our friends at Fitness Together have always been an integral part of Newcomer, Morris, and Young. So when we heard that one of their own had a need, we did what we could to fill it. Adam is a thorough, thoughtful, and determined individual who is constantly challenging himself in interesting, character building ways. This time there was a little mud involved. It’s called The World’s Toughest Mudder, a 24 hour race across a 13 mile course laden with military obstacles and lots of mud. Adam qualified for World’s Toughest Mudder because of his successful determination to have his entire team complete the Tough Mudder course. All we did was make a poster asking for donations to help send Adam to the course in Englishtown, NJ. What he did was promise that any extra donated beyond his expense cost would go to the Wounded Warrior Project to help wounded soldiers coming back from war.

We love having our hands in the kind of things that help people and the kind of things that help people help other people.

Reaching across the globe

BANCS Microfinance is a Christian-based microfinance company in Uganda Africa.

Microfinance is small business loans for those in need. Small, as in, around 150 to 200 dollars. For most of the population in Uganda who live on less than $2 a day, that is all they need to begin working their way out of poverty.

Along with providing loans, BANCS offers classes to educate people on how to manage their finances and their small businesses. In these classes people also learn the importance of living debt free and becoming self sufficient. This resonates so well that most people pay off their debt to BANCS in a fraction of the allowed time.

It is amazing what BANCS is doing in Uganda. Mike Croslow, the founder of BANCS was a missionary in Africa before he began exploring the microfinance business. He has a heart for the people and wants to see them succeed on their own instead of create dependency.

We want to express our excitement for BANCS Microfinance because we have been given the opportunity to create a website for them. Mike has a vision for BANCS to be self sustainable, like the people he works with, but until then they are still dependent on donations from those who are able to give. This is an absolutely remarkable organization and we want to get people ready for the website when it is finished.

It is coming soon. So be looking for it’s launch!

Matt’s Music Wants to Give You Things!

Monday, November 7th, 2011

And as it turns out we’re helping them do it. We have teamed up with Matt’s Music to create and promote a stellar give away, including a 20th Anniversary logo, TV commercials, radio spots, print graphics for entry boxes, and so much more. By designing and building a landing page for the contest we were able to give Matt’s the ability to capture and manage the names, phone numbers, and emails of the people who entered the contest. This gives their customers easy access to an entry form and the thorough marketing we provided made sure they knew about it.

Check out the work we did for them! And while your at it, be sure and register. Surly somebody you know needs a Taylor guitar!
