We’re being taken over by crochet hats.
At Newcomer, Morris and Young, we are proud to support the Northeast Louisiana Cancer Institute, and our very own Sharon Armstrong is giving back in an amazing and thoughtful way. We are donating her crochet hats to the patients of the Northeast Louisiana Cancer Institute.
She has taken the time to crochet 37 hats, and we at NMY are thrilled and honored in her contribution to the Institute. We know that dealing with any type of cancer is overwhelming, and that is why Sharon wants to donate these hats, to let a patient be who they are, and lift their spirit in a positive way.

At Newcomer, Morris & Young, we pride ourselves on giving back and being involved with the community around us, so we were thrilled when we were asked to help promote the Downtown RiverMarket. By utilizing television, radio and print we were able to bring awareness to this exciting outdoor event. The market is a place where members of the community can come together to enjoy Downtown Monroe while supporting local vendors. The exceptional work done by Downtown RiverMarket employees and The City of Monroe was vital in the success of the market. With all of our regional media resources we were able to bring a great turnout to the grand opening on Saturday, October 1.
Don’t worry if you missed the first Saturday, you still have time to come enjoy great food, music and entertainment. The market will be open from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. every Saturday until December 15. For more information, visit www.downtownrivermarket.com.

Begin Recovery has been a work in progress and a labor of love. We have recently given the website a new look and with it, better functionality, providing it’s users the ability to work seamlessly through the program. By spending less time thinking about how to get from one place on the website to the next, those with addictions can focus more on their recovery and less on the website. After all, that is the goal of Begin Recovery: to provide an online recovery program for alcoholics and addicts that really works.
Dr. Douglas Cook has been overseeing the project’s development, making sure that the people who desperately need help with their recovery are provided the opportunity to participate in this life changing program.
Our hope is that we can assist those in need by providing simple access to Begin Recovery. If someone you love is in dire need of recovery help, please introduce them to Begin Recovery. It truly is an online recovery program for alcoholics and addicts that really works.

One thing we pride ourselves on at Newcomer, Morris, and Young is being able to effectively handle all your marketing and advertising needs under one roof. This allows us to create a campaign that is consistent; giving your message a unified voice that flows seamlessly through all media.
Bulk-Pack had been in business for over 30 years, and they needed help re-defining their brand identity to help carry them through the next 30 years. After we created their new logo, we developed print collateral, and it was no surprise when a new website soon followed. As the saying goes, “One thing leads to another,” and we couldn’t be happier with the result…

Since 2006, NMY has had the privilege to help promote the Squire Creek Louisiana Peach Festival, the premier summer event in Ruston, La. We really enjoy working with Nancy, Scott and everyone on the Peach Festival committee! From logo design, to print & outdoor, to TV & radio advertising, and media placement… we help get the word out that PeachFest is an event that is not to be missed.
For most folks in Northeast Louisiana, PeachFest is something we look forward to all year long. Only in Ruston can you get peaches that taste that sweet, and a festival that truly pulls out all the stops to celebrate them. Here is just a taste of what you have to look forward to at the Louisiana Peach Festival this year. So get into the Peach Party spirit. It may be still a few months away, but as we’re trying to push winter out of the door, we want to give you a bit of sunshine wherever we can!
Come out and see us the last weekend in June for shopping, events, great music, food, and everyone’s favorite… peach ice cream! And be sure and check out the Website!

At NMY we’ve been gearing up for the annual American Advertising Federation’s ADDY Awards! Over the past 30 years, we’ve been honored with lots of Gold ADDY’s in our local competition, regional awards, and in the national competition too. This is the result of combining our years of experience with a love for what we do, and applying it to every single project – big or small. The ADDY competition presents a wonderful opportunity to show the creative work we’ve done for our clients, but we’re also excited to see the work other local agencies are producing. Now that another ADDY year is finally here, we’re getting ready to add a few more awards to our walls of fame. We wish all the other contestants “good luck” and hope to see some great local designs come out of this year’s event.

In 2012, we want to emphasize giving back to our community and our planet. With so many good things coming to us and our business, and more to come this year, giving back is a top priority. One of the ways that can be done is by having less waste and more creative ways to reuse the things that still have value. Less waste ultimately means less cost, and less cost means more ability to give. Not only to those in need but to our clients as well.
We wish you all the best of New Years. We believe that 2012 is a year of great things to come. For our business as well as yours!
